Ribes nigrum 'Titania' (Blackcurrant) is prized for its large, juicy berries that have a rich, mild flavour. This self-pollinating plant grows fast and blooms late, which protects the blossom from freezing. The fruit is ready to harvest at the end of July and are medium sized clusters. The currants are sweet-sour and mild. This hardy variety has a very good resistance to White Pine Blister and powdery mildew.
