The Nova Raspberry is an extremely hardy, reliable cultivar. The plant’s rods have very few spines, which make picking much easier. Flowers bloom in early summer and then give way to medium-sized bright red raspberries. Fruits are ripening in mid/late July. This mid-season raspberry is a floricane-fruiting raspberry (summer-bearing raspberry). Floricane raspberries need to be pruned yearly to remove old canes. 'Nova' bears fruits on second year canes. Fruits are attractive for fresh markets, U-Pick farms or in your personal edible garden! This almost thornless raspberry is one of the highest quality raspberry plants available.
