Arctic Emerald Boxwood is a tall, compact, evergreen shrub with upright growth. This variety is very hardy (zone 4b) and fast growing, compared to other Buxus. The foliage is bright green in the spring and summer, then becomes darker green in fall and winter.
A few of these shrubs around the property will bring much needed colour throughout the winter months. Prune in the early spring and shape however desired. Arctic Emerald Upright Boxwood is a taller variety with a columnar shape that can be used to add a year-round privacy screen or a hedge fence.
