Rubus fruticosus x ideaus 'Tayberry', commonly known as Tayberry plant is a cross between a blackberry and a red raspberry โ€“ with all their best qualities of size, juiciness and sweetness! Tayberries produce consistently high yields of large fruits that can reach up to 5 cm in length.ย Expect crops on 2nd year wood. Harvest lasts 3 weeks in July. Use berries when mature and purple red in baking, preserves, and as a frozen treat for kids.

Tayberry is self-fertile, and is pollinated by bees. Canes can reach 5 to 8 feet long, so wall or trellis support is required. Remove fruited canes after fruiting to encourage new canes. Spring flowers attract bees. Tayberry plants are deer resistant.
