Helleborus 'Rio Carnival' HONEYMOON® Series displays masses of 2½" - 3” showy, single light-yellow flowers with heavy, rich burgundy speckling. This variety features notable vigor, showy floral displays with large numbers of blossoms per plant, and rich flower colors. Taller than most varieties, this red and white hellebore grows to 2 ft tall.

It’s penchant for partial to full shade makes it a versatile plant in the garden. Use Rio Carnival Lenten Rose in borders, pots and planters, plant it en masse in woodland gardens, use it as underplanting for trees and shrubs, and as a cut flower for spring bouquets. Its early blooms provide all too important nectar for early pollinators. Hellebores are the harbingers of spring, blooming for six weeks or more beginning in early spring.

Hardy to USDA Zone 5, Rio Carnival Hellebore is easy to grow; and resistant to both rabbits and deer. Has low water needs. Toxic to mammals.
