Salix x fragilis f. vitellina ‘Jaune de Falaise’ is a vigorous grower, and can become a large ornamental tree - reaching to 20 ft. Coppiced, this golden willow provides lots of straight, flexible rods for cutting to use in basketry and ornamental arrangements. Live rods are a striking yellow. Dried rods are light tan to orange-red. Highly ornamental dried colour but not necessarily the easiest variety for basket making as it tends to be brittle. Provides wonderful winter colour for the garden, and nesting habitat for wildlife.
