Salix x pendulina f. salamonii ‘Chrysocoma', commonly known as “Golden Weeping Willow” is a hardy tree, with sweeping golden branch twigs and stems, yellow catkins, and leaves that change from a mid green to golden yellow in the autumn. When the sun kisses the tree, it lights up the garden. Bare branches and stems are amazing against the snowy white of a winter landscape. A vigorous tree that can grow 8 - 10 ft a year, and reach a height of 60 ft. with proper management, Golden Willows can live for hundreds of years. Topping the tree, and regularly cutting back side branches can keep willows healthy, and young looking. As with all vigorous trees, don’t plant near drainage pipes. Formely known as Salix alba 'Tristis'.
