Rosa 'Morden Belle' is covered in striking double deep pink roses (2" - 3") from summer to first frost. Deep glossy green foliage provides a stunning contrast to its pink blooms. The fruits are showy red hips displayed in late fall. This very cold hardy, multi-stemmed deciduous shrub has an upright spreading habit of growth.
'Morden Belle' was introduced in 2004, and is part of the Morden Canadian Parkland Series of roses, developed at the Morden Research Station in Manitoba. One feature of Parkland roses that distinguishes them from other Canadian hardy shrub roses is their tolerance to freezing down to the snow line or the ground. This freezing back keeps these roses more compact. Parkland roses are hardy to -35 °C or -40 °C with only snow as protection, and are disease-resistant.
