The Common Bearberry is a carefree, low trailing shrub that is ideal in borders or containers. Paddle-shaped leathery leaves grow on flexible branches, and are green in the summer, and turn reddish purple in the fall. Fragrant white flowers are tinged with pink, and bloom in the summer. Bright red berries follow, and persist into winter. Add year round colour with this groundcover.
