Clematis 'Blue Light' (Blue Light Clematis) is a gorgeous, award-winning, woody vine that features large, double, violet to light blue flowers. The enormous double blue clematis blooms are 4-6 inches wide. Blue Light Clematis produces flowers twice a year on old growth (in June) and new growth (in July-August). While most double clematis produces double flowers on old wood and single flowers on new growth, this exceptional variety features double flowers on new growth. Occasionally, Blue Light Clematis vine blooms yet an additional time in the fall. This double blue clematis vine grows best planted near a trellis or fence to climb on, but also looks great in a container.

Clematis 'Vanso' BLUE LIGHT (Vanso Clematis) is best planted in a location where the foliage and flowers are mostly in the sun, but the roots are kept cool and moist in the shade. Consider using mulch around the root zone in summer and fall. Pruning Group: 2

Pruning Groups:
Group 1 โ€“ Flowers only on old wood (previous year). Prune after spring flowering.
Group 2 โ€“ Flowers on both old and new wood. Little pruning should be done for woody-stemmed members of this Group. If cut to the ground or pruned in fall or spring, flowering will be reduced or delayed, but not prevented.
Group 3 โ€“ Flowers only on new wood. Can be cut to the ground in fall or spring.
