An eye-catching and truly unusual perennial, Pink Octopus Bellflower (Campanula ‘Pink Octopus’) features nodding, Japanese lantern–shaped buds perched on upright stems above a dense mound of green foliage. As the buds unfurl, they reveal distinctive candy-pink flowers with long, spidery, drooping petals - remarkably reminiscent of their octopus-inspired namesake. The petals are often slightly twisted, delicately hairy, and adorned with subtle red speckles on the inside, adding to their charm.

Exceptionally floriferous from June through July, Pink Octopus bellflower produces long-lasting blooms. Regular deadheading will encourage continued flowering and extend the display.

A herbaceous perennial with deeply cut, oval leaves, Pink Octopus spotted bellflower spreads by rhizomes up to 1/2 metre across, making it an excellent choice for borders and ground cover. Campanula ‘Pink Octopus’ also performs beautifully in outdoor pots and containers, where it serves as a striking “filler” in classic spiller-thriller-filler combinations.

Thriving in moist, well-drained soil, it grows well in full sun to partial shade. Hardy to Zone 5 and requiring minimal maintenance, this distinctive plant brings a touch of whimsy and fun to any landscape.
