Highly fragrant, Belgica Select Honeysuckle (Early Dutch Honeysuckle) is a twining deciduous vine with masses of tubular, cream flowers that turn deep yellow, and are streaked raspberry-red outside. The intoxicating scent is strongest at night, so plant it where the perfume will drift in through an open window on warm evenings. Blooms earlier and longer than many honeysuckle varieties. Late spring to mid-summer blooms give way to small, bright red berries. This honeysuckle has shiny dark green leaves that are bluish-green underneath. Very resistant to leaf spot disease. A hardy climber that will cover walls, fences or pergolas with a ebullient floral display. It's loose spreading habit make it perfect for a cottage or wildflower garden. Pairs beautifully with Blue Moon Wisteria.
