Red Lark Delphinium (Larkspur) is a spectacular red delphinium popular for its unique coral-red coloured blossoms, and compact nature. The flower spikes of Delphinium 'Red Lark' are packed with tall, semi-double flowers and are perfect for cut flowers. The flower spikes are heavy and need to be staked to avoid toppling in harsh weather. Deadheading can encourage a second bloom in late summer or fall. Red Larkspur produces glossy, green, deeply lobed foliage, which will remain green throughout the season.

Red Larkspur has a medium growth rate, and can live up to 10 years under ideal conditions. It prefers to grow in full sun to partial shade, and in well-drained moist soil. Red Lark Delphinium can grow up to 3 feet in height and 2 feet wide. Spacing of 1.5 to 2 feet is recommended in mass planting. This Red Larkspur is sterile and will not reseed.

Delphinium 'Red Lark' is an excellent choice for garden beds, borders, and can be planted in containers. It will die back in winter and regrow in spring. It should be kept undisturbed in late winter when it is dormant. This Red Larkspur will attract hummingbirds and butterflies into your garden. It is deer resistant and frost tolerant.
