Very pretty in rock and alpine gardens, massed in woodland gardens, or as a ground cover. It’s penchant for partial to full shade makes this red Lenten Rose a versatile plant in the garden. Hellebores are often considered a sign of spring - the earliest blooming perennials to bring life and colour to the garden. Hardy to USDA Zone 4, Helleborus 'Ruby Wine' is easy to grow; and resistant to both rabbits and deer. Prefers a spot sheltered from the wind. Has low water needs. Toxic to mammals.
