Alstroemeria DUKES 'William' (William Alstroemeria) has radiant, bicolour blooms of soft pink that turn to a dark rose with creamy white edges. The Pink-White Alstroemeria flowers also display a flashy pattern of dark spots on yellow and white in the center. They appear in clusters on narrow flowering stems, and range in size from 40 to 50 cm tall.
Pink-White Peruvian Lily is a tuberous, clumping perennial with narrow, twisted, green leaves. Grows well as a container plant or grouped in garden beds. Peruvian Lilies are famous for their excellent, long lasting cut flowers that make them perfect for floral arrangements. The cut flowers can last up to 3 weeks in vase, as long as the base of stems are recut, every time the water of the vase is changed. (Change water at least every 3 days.)
Pink-White Alstroemeria has an extremely long flowering period, blooming from the spring into fall. Flowers excel in full sun with lots of water. This plant thrives best in a rich and well-drained soil. DUKES William Alstroemeria was bred in France, and belongs to the DUKES series (recently renamed the MAXI series). The DUKES series Alstroemerias are less hardy (zone 6b) than the MAJESTIC series (zone 5b), but are hardy enough for most of our shipping area.
