NORTH STAR Pink Hellebore is prized for its elegant pink double blooms with richly sangria-tinged edges. The semi-nodding flowers with pink reverses are held on upright stems above mounds of thick, pine-green foliage.
An early bloomer – often beginning as early as March – Helleborus NORTH STAR™ 'Pink' is a beautiful harbinger of spring. Hellebores make excellent cut flowers for fresh bouquets, and single blooms can be floated in water for an exquisite centerpiece.
NORTH STAR Pink Hellebore is a clump-forming perennial requiring part to full shade. It can be planted under deciduous trees or large shrubs where there is access to light during the colder months and protection from the sun in the summer. Hellebores prefer rich, moist, organic soil but adapt to most soil conditions and can tolerate some drought after the flowering period. North Star Pink Lenten Rose is a great choice for woodland gardens or naturalized areas and can also be used for borders and edging in shade gardens.
Hardy to zone 4a and deer, rabbit and pest resistant, Helleborus NORTH STAR™ 'Pink' is a reliable, low maintenance perennial. This double pink lenten rose provides season long interest with early spring blooms that provide nectar for pollinators, and interesting foliage for the rest of the growing season.
The NORTH STAR™ Hellebore series has been selected to produce multiple crowns and bloom the first year. They are propagated from tissue culture. Those clonal plants are displaying identical features (flower colour and size, foliage...) compared to the rest of Hellebore cultivars which are from variable seed strains.
