Yellow Wax Bells (Kirengeshoma palmata) has many unique features but lets start with its summer flowers. Most woodland perennials are spring blooming but this one has late summer flowers making it a valuable addition to your woodland garden. Clusters of pearl-sized buds open into nodding bells. As its name suggests, the flowers are yellow and waxy looking. The uniqueness continues with its first-rate foliage. Green maple-shaped leaves are large and form an upright mound.
