The Black Pussy Willow has rich black winter stems that host a profusion of showy velvety black catkins that bloom in early spring. Opening in early spring they have orange-red anthers that later turn yellow as they mature. Growing more up to 15 feet tall this bushy shrub has ovate, dark green leaves that are silvery green on the underside. Grow the Black Pussy Willow in your garden and make the nicest spring bouquets!
