Geranium sanguineum 'Elke' has bright flowers with pink petals edged in white, and white centre eyes, which bloom all summer long. Its green foliage turns a bronze-red in the fall. Elke Cranesbill is a wonderful ground cover, and is equally at home at the front of the border, in baskets, pots and planters. Very lovely planted en masse in meadows and large beds.

Another sanguineum geranium, or “bloody cranesbill”, Elke bloody cranesbill is an herbaceous, clump-forming perennial that grows in a mound to 12” tall, with white-hairy trailing stems spreading to 24" over time. It is native to Europe and Asia. Elke Hardy Geranium is attractive to butterflies, and other insect pollinators.
