A highly ornamental grass, Festuca arundinacea 'Glow Sticks', or Glow Sticks Tall Fescue has slightly spreading, dark green foliage with a mounding habit, and lemony yellow flower stalks. Flowers emerge in late spring, and mature in June, reaching up to 30 inches tall.
Ideal for use in full sun or partial shade, this grass is disease, heat and humidity tolerant, and requires less water than many ornamental grasses. Use in borders, containers, rock gardens, or plant en masse to great effect, or use for a short hedge. Festuca arundinacea 'Glow Sticks' attracts birds, butterflies and wildlife. Deer resistant. Drought tolerant once established.
