This new cultivar, Dianthus 'Cherry Vanilla' has fully double carnation-like, fragrant flowers. The large (1.5” dia.), deep red flowers have a very light pink and white margin that accentuates the fullness and beauty of the double blooms. Growing to around 10 inches tall and 12 inches wide Cherry Vanilla Pinks grows in mounds of narrow, blue-green foliage; and blooms in midsummer, and again in fall (cut back the blooms after the first flush). Use this reblooming Pink at the front of borders, or along pathways and in pots and containers – anywhere you can walk closely to enjoy its sweet scent.

Hardy to USDA zone 4a -34.5 °C (-30 °F), Dianthus 'Cherry Vanilla' has good heat and humidity tolerance.
