This new Dianthus cultivar, Cranberry Cocktail Pinks has fully double carnation-like, fragrant flowers. The large (2” diameter) hot magenta pink, double flowers have serrated edges. Growing to around 10 inches tall and 12 inches wide Dianthus 'Cranberry Cocktail' grows in mounds of fragrant, narrow, blue-green foliage; and blooms in midsummer, and again in fall (cut back the blooms after the first flush). Use Cranberry cocktail Pinks at the front of borders, or along pathways and in pots and containers – anywhere you can walk closely to enjoy its sweet scent. A very pretty addition to rock gardens.
Hardy to USDA zone 4a -34.5 °C (-30 °F), Cranberry Cocktail Dianthus has good heat and humidity tolerance. An easy to grow perennial, it shines in a multitude of places in small gardens. Salt tolerant.
