Overdam Feather Reed Grass has stiff green and white slightly cascading foliage,which grows to 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide. Overdam flowers appear in July, displaying narrow, gold plumes that reach 5 feet tall. Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Overdam' is similar to the larger green 'Karl Forester'. This refined variety is smaller in size and can also tolerate shade in hot climates. However, it prefers full sun, and consistently moist soil. Great for pond or stream banks, accents, borders and backdrops.
