Baptisia 'Periwinkle Popsicle' (Periwinkle Popsicle Baptisia) has gorgeous, tall spikes of dark blue flowers, and blooms later than many Baptisia. Known for being exceptionally floriferous, this Blue False Indigo will attract butterflies and other beneficial pollinators to your garden landscape.

Dark blue Wild Indigo is taller than it is wide, with an elegant vase-like shape. Once flowering is complete, the multi-branched green foliage continues to hold its shape, and acts as a great foundation or filler plant, perfect for underplanting. If spent blooms are left untrimmed, you will have attractive black seedpods in the fall which will persist into winter.

Dark blue False indigo will thrive in moist soil, in a sunny to partially shaded site. The tall flower spikes are a nice cut flower for your fresh floral bouquets, while the long seed heads will add interest to dried arrangements. Deer resistant, this low maintenance perennial is a lovely addition to the garden!
