Jean Alstroemeria (Alstroemeria DUKES 'Jean') has magnificent multicoloured blooms, with shades of pink, salmon, orange and yellow surrounded by creamy white, enhanced with contrasting stripes of brown and hints of green along the edges. This white-peach Alstroemeria seedling is one of the most attractive members of the Duc D'Anjou hybrid series.

Like all of the DUKES (Duc D'Anjou) series, white-coral Alstroemeria plant is a perennial with a clumping habit, hardy to -20 °C, and considered a medium-sized alstroemeria growing up to 50 cm in height. Jean Peruvian Lily is a stand out among Alstroemeria with its gorgeous multicoloured blooms. The three narrow central petals are bicoloured creamy white with salmon, striped with brown, the two upper petals have a yellow spot. The surrounding three wider petals are also bicoloured salmon and white, but spotted, with green on the edge. The salmon colour ranges from shades of pink to orange - tones of the sunset! The flowers, standing atop the dense bluish-green foliage in terminal umbels will attract butterflies and other beneficial pollinators to your garden June to October.

This White-Salmon Alstroemeria tuber prefers sun or partial shade, and moist, well-drained soil. The foliage and stems will disappear in winter, leaving the underground fleshy tuber-like roots, which do well with mulching overtop. Growing this variety in a pot and storing it in a cold frame over the winter is also a good way to manage it's hardiness.

This white-peach Inca Lily plant is an excellent cut flower, lasting up to 3+ weeks in a vase with regular water changes and trimming.
