Sea Lavender is a delightful perennial renowned for its flashy sprays of tiny purple flowers. The flower could be described as a blue baby's breath. These wispy blooms appear profusely on thin, multi-branched stems giving a spectacular visual effect when blowing in the wind. The large, broad leaves appear in clumps.

Attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinator species. The flowers retain their colours well when dried and make exceptional cut flowers. Sea Lavender is very easy to grow, even in dry, rocky soil or windy, coastal areas. Limonium platyphyllum can self-seed to make new plants, and will fill in large areas over time. Cut back spent flowers if new plants are not desired.
