Liatris spicata 'Kobold' adds a strong vertical accent in the garden with its tufted, rosy-lavender flower spikes. It blooms in succession from top to bottom for at least 4 weeks through the summer attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The fluffy Kobold gayfeather flower heads contrast against the finely textured grassy foliage. This plant continues to delight in the fall when the leaves turn bronze and in the winter when it supplies food for birds.
