Aphrodite Rose of Sharon is a gorgeous, deciduous shrub treasured for its brilliant blooms. It has a compact, vase-shaped form and branches of attractive, coarsely toothed, dark green leaves. Large, spectacular, hot pink flowers have five thick, lacey petals, and a striking dark red center. Blooms for an unbelievably long season from July to September.
Aphrodite Hibiscus is best as a specimen to add an exotic, tropical piece to the garden. Prefers moist, organically rich soil with full sun. Hibiscus syriacus 'Aphrodite' tolerates heat, drought and urban areas.
