Gold Nugget Ice plant is an attractive, cold hardy, evergreen, succulent species best used as a groundcover. The short, spreading, foliage is a medium green colour and turns maroon in the fall and winter.

The large flowers are neon yellow, daisy-like, and appear abundantly over top of the foliage from June to September. The blooms are beneficial to pollinator species, like bees and butterflies.

Once established, Gold Nugget exhibits an impressive, eye-catching groundcover. A true alpine succulent, descending from mountains of South Africa. Best grown in sandy, rocky soil with good drainage but does enjoy more moisture than other succulent species. This Hardy Yellow Ice Plant is tolerant to drought and hot, dry conditions suitable for rock gardens and xeriscaping.
