Great upright rounded habit, and dense foliage make this hardy small evergreen (3ft x 3ft) an ideal low hedge. Boxwood is the perfect slow growing evergreen shrub to practice the Art of Topiary! Bright green new growth is followed by insignificant, but fragrant flowers. Foliage turns coppery-orange in the winter. This hard to find, hardy shrub is a landscape winner. Winter Beauty is one of the hardiest cultivars. Korean Boxwood (Buxus sinica var. insularis) is more tolerant of alkaline soils and sunlight than the common boxwood. Perfect as a border, specimen, and in topiary.
