Award-winning Gold Standard Hosta is a garden classic. Leaves are LARGE! Their centres emerge light green in the spring, and become progressively more gold. This transition will progress by exposure to morning sun. Growing to only 20 inches tall, Hosta 'Gold Standard' is a wonderful ground cover, and front of shade border plant. Mid-summer flowers have lavender-tinged white blooms, on tall 30-inch spikes.
Gold Standard Plantain Lily also brings wonderful texture and contrast to woodland settings, mass and foundation plantings. Makes a good overplanting for early spring bulbs. A low maintenance, easy to grow plant, this green variegated Hosta prefers to grow in average to moist conditions. Hardy to -40 °C. Attracts hummingbirds.
