Hosta 'Age of Gold', commonly known as Age of Gold Hosta is a large gold hosta, of up to 4 feet wide, with upright, heart-shaped, golden yellow leaves. Growing to only 2 feet tall, it’s a wonderful ground cover, and front of shade border plant. Needs partial to full shade. The shadier the location the brighter the leaves! The mid summer flowers are lavender-tinged white blooms on tall spikes that can reach 4 feet tall. Age of Gold Hosta also brings wonderful texture and contrast to woodland settings, mass and foundation plantings. Makes a good overplanting for early spring bulbs.
A low maintenance, easy to grow plant, this yellow hosta prefers to grow in average to moist conditions. Hardy to -40 °C. Attracts hummingbirds.
