The Japanese Tassel Fern gets its name because as the fronds unwind the tips hang down, like a tassel. As the bright green fronds mature they turn darker and eventually straighten out. New fronds are covered in golden hairs in the spring. Add some vibrant texture to a woodland floor, or in your mixed border. As a bonus cut fronds are a perfect addition to flower arrangements.
