Beebop Spotted Bee Balm (Horsemint) is a unique and stunning bee balm variety with speckled, yellow-white blossoms and large, lance-shaped pink and silver-pink bracts that are whorled around 24 inch stems. A compact, early blooming bee balm with green, very fragrant foliage (that makes a lovely tea) that forms a rounded mound and serves as the backdrop for its surprising flowers. A heavy bloomer, it attracts many native pollinators - hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees to the garden.

Monarda punctata 'Beebop' will grow in full sun to dappled shade. Appreciates well-drained, sandy soils. It is rich in thymol, an antiseptic and fungicide, which makes it extremely powdery mildew resistant. Beebop Spotted Bee Balm is equally at home in a border or a naturalized meadow. Mass for a wonderful impact. Beebop Horsemint works great in a small garden, and adds charm and fragrance to container plantings. Cut for gorgeous fresh bouquets. Cut back severely after flowering to encourage new foliage growth.
