Scabiosa columbaria 'Flutter Rose Pink' (Pincushion Flower) features unique pink flowers atop tall (12”) stems and above mounds of ferny, deeply cut foliage. Has a very tidy habit, and a refined and delicate texture. Use in mixed baskets and containers to great effect. This dwarf pincushion flower is also wonderful in rock and alpine gardens, and as edging in borders.
Plant Flutter Rose Pink Pincushion Flower en masse as a backdrop to other perennials. Provides a beautiful swath of blooms from late spring to fall. Flutter Rose Pink Small Scabious is a relatively low maintenance plant, and prefers full sun. Under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 10 years. Its nectar and pretty pink flowers attract bees and butterflies to the garden. Makes a lovely cut flower. Drought tolerant and deer resistant.
