Coreopsis NOVA® 'Jewel' (Pink Coreopsis plant) has abundant, long blooming pink flowers on a tidy, clumping mound. The flowers begin as a pretty light-yellow with lilac edging, deepening to pink with age. A hybrid of Coreopsis verticillata (threadleaf coreopsis), the NOVA series was bred for vigour, health and colour.
The mounded green foliage is thread-like and stands 10 in (25 cm) tall with the flowers sitting above this at 12 in (30 cm). Heavily trafficked by bees and other pollinators, this Pink Tickseed plant makes an excellent addition to a butterfly garden.
A versatile perennial, this pink Coreopsis plant can be used in mixed beds and borders, as a mass planting, an accent, or in a container. The NOVA series also has increased mildew resistance, creating a long-lasting favourite for dry to moist, sunny gardens.
