Feijoa is prized for its foliage, flowers, and fruit. This spring bloomer has thick, leathery green leaves and edible white and pink flowers with crimson stamens. It produces a red-flushed green fruit, which has a pineapple - strawberry like taste. You can eat the fruit raw or make into jams, pies, etc.. Perfect in a colourful hedge, border, or on its own this flowering tree not only provides colourful interest but edible flowers and fruits.
