A beautiful coneflower, Echinacea 'Rainbow Sherbet' DOUBLE DIPPED® has fully double, large flowers that bloom in mid to late summer. Reaching up to 4.5 inches in diameter (and growing on sturdy stems), the blooms have large pompoms and overlapping petals. Their colour shifts from orange at opening, to corals and pinks, creating a dramatic display in the mid border, as a specimen, and in planters. Rainbow Sherbet coneflower makes a wonderful cut flower with its exuberant colours, and fragrance.
It grows to 28 inches tall, at a medium rate. Creates a nice spread, to 24”. Plant Rainbow Sherbet Echinacea in swathes in naturalized gardens, and allow seedheads to stay on overwinter to provide food for birds. This double pink coneflower is happy in dry to moist, well-drained soil, and hardy to -34.5 °C.
