This new cultivar, Dianthus 'Classic Coral' has fully double carnation-like, fragrant flowers. The flowers are in infinite shades of coral, which are accentuated by the double blooms. Growing to around 10 inches tall and 12 inches wide Classic Coral Pinks grows in mounds of narrow, blue-green foliage; and blooms in midsummer, and again in fall (cut back the blooms after the first flush). Use this coral Pink at the front of borders, or along pathways and in pots and containers – anywhere you can walk closely to enjoy its sweet scent. Dianthus 'Classic Coral' is a very pretty addition to rock gardens.
Hardy to USDA zone 4a -34.5 °C (-30 °F), Classic Coral Dianthus has good heat and humidity tolerance. An easy to grow perennial, it shines in a multitude of places in small gardens. Salt tolerant.
