Convallaria majalis 'Prolificans' has delightful clusters of bell-shaped, nodding, double flowers. Known as Double Lily of the Valley, this selection has double the flowers and fragrance of the garden classic!
Double Lily of the Valley is a perennial ground-cover, boasting numerous, sweet fragranced flowers, which bees will be attracted to as an early nectar source in the spring. These flowers are on upright stems and are surrounded by glossy, bright green, elliptical leaves. In the fall, red berries are produced as added colour to the garden.
A shade loving perennial, Double-flowered Lily of the Valley can be a naturalizing plant for woodland gardens, and those shady, low maintenance areas of the garden. Use as a pretty container plant, if you do not wish it to spread.
