This outstanding shrub rose has been developed for the harsh conditions of the Canadian prairies. Rosa 'Bill Reid' is a vigorous, deciduous shrub with an upright, spreading habit of growth. It bears clusters of elegant bright yellow blooms with a hint of peach, at the ends of the branches from late spring to mid fall. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its dark green glossy foliage is very resistant to blackspot. Bill Reid Rose will grow to be about 3 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 3 feet. It tends to fill out right to the ground and makes a great foundation and border edge rose.
This 2012 addition to Canadian Artist Series developed by Canadian breeders, honors the acclaimed Haida sculptor Bill Reid (1920 – 1998).
