The Nivalis Japanese Quince adds some early excitement in the spring when the rest of garden is just waking up. Stunning pure single white flowers emerge on thorny branches before the dark green foliage. The gifts keep giving as the flowers give way to fruit that ripens in the fall. Although bitter right off the shrub the fruit is perfect for preserves and jellies. This spiny shrub is great on its own but is also a perfect addition to a colourful hedge. Much higher than the cultivar 'Jet trail', this tall white japanese quince can grow up to 8 feet tall.
