Also called Japanese Rush, Acorus gramineus are widely used in japanese gardens for their unique shape and colorful blades. Known as semi-aquatic plant, it likes to have its root crown just below the water. Like all Acorus gramineus...when bruised, the foliage emit a citrus scent.
