Triple Crown Blackberry (Rubus 'Triple Crown') is a compact, semi-upright and easy to maintain thornless blackberry cultivar, which happens to produce some of the most luscious, large blackberries! It is named for its top three attributes: flavourful fruit, heavy yields, and vigorous growth. This is a self-fruitful, free-standing shrub that produces one crop of fruit per year, over an approximately 30 day period in July-August. This is a mid-late season variety. Fruits are produced on two-year old stems (from previous year's growth).

Triple Crown Thornless Blackberry berries are glossy, black, and huge. Wonderful for table eating, pies, crumbles, and jams.

Immediately after fruit harvest, remove all canes from Triple Crown Thornless Blackberry that fruited. In early spring, remove any canes damaged by winter and thin the remaining canes to 4 or 5 strong, well-spaced canes. Plants generally perform best when staked. This hardy blackberry grows in Zones 5a – 9a, like full sun (but will handle part shade), and well-drained soil.
