Native to Canada. Bouteloua curtipendula is one of the most attractive grass! Red brown-tinged flowers appear on arching stems in late summer, followed by oat-like seeds suspended on one side of the stalk. Interesting hues of orange and red in autumn. Side Oats Grama tolerates wide range of soil conditions from well-drained sandy soils to heavy clays.
