Alexander's White perennial candytuft is an evergreen / semi-evergreen (dependent on climate) perennial that makes a fabulous ground-cover or border plant. A hardy, low laying (10 inches), spreading (2 feet) plant, it is completely covered with small, pure white, 4-petaled flowers in dense, flattened clusters from April to June (from late March in some areas). This variety has a tendency to re-bloom in the fall.
Iberis sempervirens 'Alexander's White' doesn’t like wet soil, so make sure you plant it in a well-drained area. Its ability to tolerate dry soil makes this perennial candytuft a really great plant for sprawling over walls and in rock gardens, where there are lots of crevices to fill, and where less drought tolerant plants wouldn’t survive without a great deal of watering. Alexander's White Evergreen Candytuft is also very pretty spilling out of containers. An easy to grow plant. Attracts butterflies.
