Midnight Ghost Cranesbill is a lovely perennial with exquisite white flowers veined in a blush of bluish pink. The stems and leaves emerge in a range of green to red tones, and mature to bronze-reds and deep plum. The contrast of the white blooms against such richly toned foliage is stunning, lending the flowers a subtle glow. Geranium pratense 'Midnight Ghost' blooms from May to July.
Growing to 8” tall, in tight mounds, they make a neat, compact ground cover, a wonderful addition to pots and planters, and border edges. Wonderful in rock gardens, and woodland edges this meadow Cranesbill are long-lived and drought tolerant. Hardy to zone 4a, Midnight Ghost geranium is very versatile in the garden, and can be grown in areas of full sun to half shade, while preferring full sun, and moist soil.
