Ken's Red Hardy Kiwi plant (Actinidia arguta 'Ken's Red') produces delicious kiwis. The smooth, red, bite-sized kiwi do not require peeling - the citrus-sweet fruit can be enjoyed right off the vine. While the skin is red, the flesh is reddish green. The hardy red kiwi vine stems are a reddish brown that contrast beautifully with its broad green leaves. Produces up to 100 lbs of kiwi fruit annually. It can tolerates temperatures as low as -25 °C. In order to pollinate 6 to 8 female Kiwi plants, one male Kiwi plant is required. We recommend to plant one of the following male varieties alongside your female kiwi plants: Actinidia arguta ‘Weiki M’, Actinidia arguta ‘Meader’ or Actinidia arguta ‘Andrew’. Actinidia arguta will start bearing fruits within 3 to 5 years.
