Atlas Fescue is a long-lived, clumping, ornamental grass. Native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Festuca mairei is one of the largest Fescue varieties available. The grand, green foliage grows upright from a clump, and cascades down like a fountain. Moroccan Fescue shows off colourfully all year in warm winter area. As a cool season grass, it is at its most beautiful in the cool of spring and fall.
Easy to grow and low maintenance, this grass is tolerant to drought, and doesn’t need to be cut back. Just rake the old foliage in early spring! Best used as a border or ground cover in dry rock gardens, slopes or for xeriscaping. One of the best plant to cover large areas.
