Tidal Pool Creeping Speedwell (Veronica 'Tidal Pool') is a dense, spreading ground-cover with masses of delightful blue flowers with white eyes mid to late spring. Spreads to 2 feet, and grows to 3 or 4 inches tall, depending on conditions. The deeply-lobed, hairy grey-green foliage is a wonderful contrast to the deep blue flowers. Blue Speedwell attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
A semi-evergreen, it does well in all types of soil, and thrives in full sun. A very versatile and easy to grow perennial, Tidal Pool Prostrate Speedwell is drought, heat and humidity tolerant once established. Use as a ground-cover, rock garden mainstay, or a “spiller” in pots, planters and hanging baskets. Tidal Pool Creeping Speedwell is hardy to -34 °C.
